Nu World Art Ensemble is a community based touring theater company that utilizes the performing arts as healing tool to tackle pertinent issues that affect young people and their families, presents riveting theater productions based on the true experiences of our young participants. The company is designed to reach youth between and including ages 17 and up.
Nu Generation Art Ensemble serves ages 13-17.
Next Generation Art Ensemble serves ages 5-12. Our ensembles provide an intensive artistic self-development process that includes instruction in vocal and dance techniques, writing, psychodrama, meditation, sound therapy and the use of traditional Native American and African song, chants and rituals. Through this process youth are guided to their inner core where growth and healing must come, breaking down the emotional barriers, youth begin to creatively design life changing theatrical productions. Our children are receiving theatrical instruction that is culturally and spiritually based. The members
of our ensembles
receive experiences in public speaking, facilitating panel discussions,
community outreach, peer mentoring and leadership development, which
enable
them to go into the community and become an integral part of positive
change. Our children are taught to believe that this is how
we heal our
Mother Earth, one community at a time. The transformation
that takes
place in our youth empowers them with the ability to know that they are
a
valuable piece in the world puzzle. Their new self
discoveries coupled with their personal experiences,
factual information and professional performance training are combined
to
create an insightful, gut-wrenching,
multi-disciplined
original productions that are performed for the healing of
the community.
